We are simply too popular! So the fairest way we can offer our fun and adventure is by holding a waiting list.
When a space become available our volunteers will select the next suitable person off the list, this is generally done in order of length of time on the list although some other factors may be used such as being the child of a volunteer.
We can never estimate how long the wait time is on the list as it can vary based on age and how quickly places become available.
How we store your data
Yours and your child’s details will be held on Online Scout Manager on the Cottingham: Waiting List section. Only volunteers within Cottingham Scout Group who have completed their GDPR learning has access to these details.
We will store this data in this location for the following durations:
- The Young Person is offered a place within a section. The data will then transfer to the relevant section within Online Scout Manager.
- The Young Person turns 18 years old
- The Young Persons details are requested to be deleted/removed. To make a request to remove your child for our waiting list, please contact lead.volunteer@cottinghamscouts.co.uk.
